Our 2012 Baseball Preview

A lot of things in major league baseball have changed since the St. Louis Cardinals won game seven of the 2011 World Series in dramatic fashion over the Texas Rangers. For starters, top free agents – Albert Pujols, Prince Fielder and Jose Reyes – elected to leave their former teams. Several teams also made significant trades while five teams will start the season with new managers selected – Bobby Valentine (Boston), Ozzie Guillen (Miami) and Robin Ventura (Chicago). In addition, major league baseball tweaked their playoff system so that there will be two wild card teams from each league.
